OMTI
Oklahoma Miner Training Institute
The Oklahoma Miner Training Institute (OMTI) is operated under the direction of the Oklahoma Mining Commission. The Institute, located at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, provides training in all aspects of mine safety and health. To minimize the inconvenience to both miners and operators, regularly scheduled public classes are provided at the school and in each quadrant of the state. OMTI offers private classes where we will come to your location. The private fee is $450 per day plus round-trip mileage for all companies. All public training classes provided by the Institute are free of charge to the mining companies who hold permits in Oklahoma. The fee for contractors is $150.00 per person per day.
