Proctoring Guidelines

Eastern provides exam proctoring at all four of locations - Wilburton, McAlester, Idabel and Antlers. Currently, this service is free of charge for all Eastern students and any other student attending a higher education institution. Beginning January 1, 2020, Eastern will be charge $10 per exam for students attending other institutions. This excludes East Central University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University students attending classes at Eastern's McAlester Campus and Southeastern students at the SEMMC in Idabel.

Eastern prides itself in following all the guidelines given by professors and proctors. We expect that students demonstrate integrity in all their academic work. Cheating, obtaining copies of exams, and any violation (i.e. cell phone use, etc.) will be reported to the professor, institution’s proctoring representative, and the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the student’s institution.

Students need to provide government-issued identification, such as a driver’s license or military ID, in order to be eligible for proctoring. Eastern students may use their school-issued ID. Students are then given the specific instructions for the exam. Each professor provides these instructions/procedures to the proctors and they cannot be changed by the proctor.

Our Wilburton and McAlester sites have specific proctoring hours. Appointments are needed at the Idabel and Antlers sites. Visit the Library 101 LibGuide for current hours and information about proctoring. If there are any questions regarding proctoring, please contact Mrs. Maria Martinez, Director of Library Media Services, by email at proctor@eosc.edu.
