WILBURTON (Nov. 20, 2014) -
Eastern Oklahoma State College's chapter of Phi Beta Lambda recently hosted a Dress for Success workshop, fashion show and clothing drive. The event helped raise awareness about how students should dress for interviews, presentations and meetings.
PBL students also created the event to bring attention to the professional skills that are useful in the college setting, as well as later in their careers. During the event, female and males students modeled different types of dress for specific business situations. Donations of new and gently used business clothing were also accepted at the event. The clothing will be made available for students who need it.
As an organization that focuses on business and leadership skills, PBL members wanted to reinforce the importance of professionalism and first impressions, as well as raise awareness of how students present themselves to others.
For more information about dressing for success, PBL or the clothing closet, students can contact advisor Amanda Smith at email@example.com.
