Eastern’s 2016 Homecoming week to kick off with Community Chili Cook-Off Nov. 7


WILBURTON, OK (Oct. 24, 2016) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s 2016 Homecoming festivities will start with a Community Chili Cook-Off on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Goddard Building.

Treva Kennedy, director of Institutional Advancement, said students, alumni and the general public are invited to enter their best chili recipe, taste the varieties of chili available and help rank the best, or just to stop and say hello.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to purchase a “taster pass” for $5 and sample some of the best chili in Mountaineer country. Students with a valid EOSC ID will be allowed to participate free of charge.

Entry forms for participating teams and individuals need to be submitted to the Office of Institutional Advancement by Nov. 1* to ensure a space availability. Each team will need to have at least a six-quart crockpot of their chili ready for judging at 6 p.m.
