Eastern to host Blue and Gold Rush July 31 in McAlester

MCALESTER, OK (July 21, 2014) – Eastern Oklahoma State College will host a special evening event on Thursday, July 31 to assist students who are interested in attending college. The Blue and Gold Rush will take place at the McAlester Campus from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“The Blue and Gold Rush is an event designed for students who are interested in earning a college degree, but may have trouble making it to campus during regular business hours due to work or family commitments,” said Anne Brooks, director of Eastern’s McAlester Campus. “This is a great opportunity to learn about the degree programs available in McAlester, admission and enrollment requirements, as well as scholarships and financial aid.”

Students who want to apply for admission should bring their official high school, GED or college transcripts and ACT scores. Those who meet the admission requirements and have necessary paperwork will be able to enroll. Fall classes at Eastern start on Aug. 11.

Eastern is located at 1802 E College Ave. For more information, call 918-302-3607.
