Eastern to host annual Fall Concert Oct. 8


WILBURTON, OK (Oct. 5, 2015) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s Music Department will host its annual Fall Concert Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium.

The event consists of the Concert Band, Concert Choir and Eastern Expressions entertaining all who wish to come. The concert is open to the general public and admission is free.

Brandon Hendrix, now in his third year as director, will lead his students as they display their musical talent, playing songs by Lewis Carrol, Frank Sinatra and Queen, among others.

Sophomores performing this year include Kyle Shelton of Checotah, Lacy Dunlap of Wilburton, Madeline Kraft of McAlester, Chance Reeves of Wilburton, Reagan Brinlee of Wilburton, Charline Morrison of Heavener and Trevor McBane of Savanna.

“We are excited to usher in the fall season with exciting new works for band and choir,” said Hendrix. “And, as always, the Eastern Expressions will present exciting popular music selections chosen exclusively by the group.”
