WILBURTON (Sept. 9, 2015) – Eastern Oklahoma State College students recently attended the 2015 Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL. Kane Konsure of McAlester, Chelsie Peckio of Krebs, Gabrielle Renteria of Antlers, and Bernie Underwood of Savanna competed at the conference June 27-29.

The students competed in events such as Retail Management and Computer Applications. Konsure placed ninth in the nation in Personal Finance. The students had to place first, second or third on their exams at the state level to qualify to compete at the national level.

The students with support from Eastern fundraised and earned the money to go and participate in not only these competitive events but also in other business related breakout sessions. The students made connections with other PBL members from all over the country and participated in cultural activities while in the city.
