WILBURTON (April 13, 2015) – The Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers are currently ranked number one in NJCAA Region II Division I baseball. It’s the first time in more than a decade that Eastern has had such an outstanding start.

The Mountaineer baseball team is 8-0 in conference play and has an overall record of 23-14. Eastern is currently on a four-game win streak and have won 13 of the last 15 games. In those games the Mountaineers have outscored their opponents 139-60. Those teams have a combined record of 120-84.

“We have been playing really well the last four weeks and are 8-0 in the conference for the first time in 11 years,” said Head Coach Craig Price. “It is fun watching our guys play right now.  Coach Dixon has done a really good job with our pitchers this year and our hitters have really swung the bat well during this stretch.”

EOSC will play the University of the Ozarks in Wilburton on Tuesday before hosting conference rival and 10th-ranked Connors State College for a double-header on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m.
