Eastern Music Department to present Spring Concert April 11


WILBURTON, OK (April 8, 2019) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s Department of Music will present its annual Spring Concert at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 in Mitchell Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Concert Band will perform such hits as Green Day’s “American Idiot” and The Rolling Stones’ “Paint it Black.” The Concert Choir will present a number of songs including the traditional English ballad “Scarborough Fair.”

Eastern’s student-led rock ensemble, the Eastern Expressions, will entertain with their renditions of “Earth Angel” by The Temptations and “Eagles and Horses” by John Denver, among others.

Eastern students to perform include Leila Aaron, Miguel Brown, Devon Cox, Hannah Gockel, Bobbi Kirkland of Wilburton; Christian Scarberry of Clayton; Hannah Posey of McAlester; Victoria Davison of Quinton; Dale Shackleford of Slaughterville; Josh Cole of Spiro; Zane Jacobson of Talihina; Caden Phillips of Tuskahoma; Nikita Wemmerus of Wister; and Lucinda Roberts of Yanush.
