Area legislators visit with Eastern students


WILBURTON, OK (Dec. 3, 2012) – Four area legislators recently visited with Eastern Oklahoma State College students during a luncheon in Wilburton. Eastern President Dr. Stephen Smith hosted the event that allowed the legislators to visit with students from throughout the state.

The legislators spent the morning with Eastern staff discussing what’s currently happening at the college. During the annual luncheon, the legislators spoke with students about the reasons that led them to run for office and their passions in government. Students shared what they were studying, as well as their future educational and career goals. Former Senator Richard Leblance was also recognized at the luncheon for his many years of public service to southeast Oklahoma.
