Aggie Club hosts 2016 Faculty-Student Cookout


WILBURTON, OK (Aug. 18, 2016) – The Aggie Club kicked off the 2016-2017 school year by hosting its annual Agriculture faculty-student hamburger cookout.

Approximately 60 faculty, staff, and students attended the cookout which was held on Thursday, August 11 at Robbers Cave State Park. The event is conducted each year to allow the Agriculture faculty and college administrators to become acquainted with incoming freshmen and welcome back returning sophomores. The club provided hamburgers with all the fixins’ for the group.

Presiding over the event were 2016-2017 Aggie Club President Paul Shanks and Vice-President Jared Engler.

In addition to the meal, students competed in a scavenger hunt. The team winning the scavenger hunt was comprised of Mikey Guazdausky, freshman ranch management major from Wilburton, and Brett Looten, freshman animal science major from Olean, MO.
