Homecoming 2017

Join us for Eastern Oklahoma State College's 2017 Homecoming celebration Nov. 7-11 in Wilburton. You are invited to return home to reconnect with classmates, friends, professors and other members of the Mountaineer community. This year’s Homecoming recognizes and honors all veterans, military personnel and emergency first responders who have or are making a difference in the world.

Tuesday, Nov. 7
6:30 p.m.         
Community Chili Cook-Off (Goddard Building)
What better way to kick-off Homecoming and to spend a great evening connecting with classmates, friends, professors and other members of the Mountaineer community. Plus, you can enter your best chili recipe or just stop by for dinner and fun. Download entry form for more information. (pdf)

Friday, Nov. 10
1:30 p.m.   Veterans Day Program (E.E. Tourtellotte Student Center Ballroom)
Eastern's annual Veterans Day Observance Program will honor all area veterans and active service members. Former and current military members are invited to enjoy a free lunch from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Coal Mine in the Student Center.
6:00 p.m.
  Homecoming Bonfire (near tennis courts)
Enjoy free hot dogs and s'mores while we hear from basketball coaches and meet the Lady Mountaineers and Mountaineers.
Saturday, Nov. 11
8:00 a.m.    Mountaineer 5K (downtown Wilburton)
Dust off those running shoes and show your Mountaineer spirit by participating in the Mountaineer 5K. Download and mail your registration form (pdf). This is a PACE registered event. Pre-register by Oct. 30 for $30 entry fee and a T-shirt. Onsite or late registration fee is $35. Proceeds support the Eastern Alumni Scholarship Fund.
11:00 a.m.   Homecoming Parade (downtown Wilburton)
Join us in downtown Wilburton to watch the Homecoming Parade. See student organization floats, Mountaineer athletic teams and the 2017 Homecoming Court. Veterans, military personnel and emergency first responders are invited to serve as Parade Grand Marshals (a float will be provided).
  Mountaineer Tailgate (behind the E.E. Tourtellotte Student Center)
The best place to have lunch and have some fun following the parade and prior to the games. Enjoy free hamburgers and a performance by the Eastern Expressions. Free activities, tailgate games, and a Mountaineer Yearbook browse will also be available.

  Homecoming Coronation
