Wheeler named EOSC’s site coordinator at Southeastern’s McCurtain County Campus
IDABEL, OK (Nov. 14, 2013) – Eastern Oklahoma State College has named Preston Wheeler of Idabel as the new site coordinator and academic advisor at Southeastern’s McCurtain County Campus.
Wheeler will oversee Eastern’s operations at the campus and advise students. He replaces Tammy Crow who has accepted a full-time instructor position with Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
“I look forward to continuing the outstanding tradition that Eastern has established at the McCurtain County campus and providing educational opportunities to the communities of southeastern Oklahoma and the surrounding area,” Wheeler said.
Before coming to Eastern, Wheeler taught history at Idabel High School for seven years. Prior to entering the education field, he worked in the state medical examiner’s office from 1992 to 2006. He also served as a probation and parole officer with the Department of Corrections for five years.
A graduate of Broken Bow High School, Wheeler earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and his master’s degree in educational leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
