Eastern’s fourth annual Community Chili Cook-Off set for Nov. 9 during Homecoming Week

WILBURTON, OK (Oct. 26, 2018) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s fourth annual Community Chili Cook-Off is set for Friday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Tourtellotte Student Center Ballroom. The event is planned as part of Eastern’s 2018 Homecoming week festivities.

The event is free and open to the public. Individuals, businesses or teams can enter the friendly competition or participants can sample the variety of chili recipes.

The competition will recognize the best recipe in three categories, as well as a “Taster’s Choice” award voted on by all in attendance. Categories include Community Members and Organizations, Eastern Faculty and Staff, and Eastern Student Organizations.

Participants will need to prepare at least a six-quart crockpot of their chili ready for judging at 6 p.m. A six-foot table and two chairs will be provided, but teams will need to supply their own desired table decorations.

Entry forms for competing teams and individuals must be submitted by Nov. 5 to ensure space availability. Visit eosc.edu/homecoming for the complete competition rules, entry forms and additional information concerning all of Eastern’s 2018 Homecoming festivities.
