WILBURTON, OK (Nov. 6, 2013) – High school seniors will have the opportunity to experience campus life at Eastern Oklahoma State College during “Mountaineer Mania,” a senior preview day event planned for Wednesday, Nov. 20 in Wilburton.
Registration for the event will begin at 9:30 a.m.in Mitchell Auditorium. Participants will have the opportunity to take a campus tour and attend an organizational fair to visit with Eastern students, faculty and staff about academic programs, financial aid and scholarships, campus life, student organizations and residential housing. Students will also enjoy an outdoor picnic and receive a free T-shirt, passes to an Eastern home basketball game and other prizes.
During the event, Eastern will also waive the $15 admission fee for students that turn in a completed admissions packet, which includes an application for admission, high school transcript and ACT scores.
“We are very aware there are financial concerns, as well as uncertainties involved with the college application process,” said Dr. Stephen Glazier, vice president for Student Affairs. “It is our goal to lower the anxiety level of students and parents and make the application process as easy as possible. During Mountaineer Mania, students can apply for admission for free and we will have trained staff members available to help students every step of the way.”
Mountaineer Mania is free and open to all high school seniors. To register for the event or for more information, call 918-465-1767.
