Eastern to offer kitchen and food safety seminar
WILBURTON, OK (Sept. 12, 2014) - Eastern Oklahoma State College will be offering a continuing education seminar entitled “Kitchen and Food Safety.” The course will be held at Baker Hall, Room 106 and is scheduled for Saturday, September 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Meat Science and Food Safety instructor Carrie Lockhart will cover basic kitchen safety, proper food handling practices and techniques. The four hour course will include proper sanitation techniques and the prevention of food borne illnesses.
Pre-registration is required and the course is limited to the first 25 registrants. Pre-registration will be taken through Tuesday, September 23. Cost for the course is $10 per person which covers refreshments and educational materials.
