Eastern Music Department to present Spring Concert March 10
WILBURTON, OK (March. 7, 2016) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s Music Department will present its annual Spring Concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 in Mitchell Auditorium.
“We’ve selected a variety of popular songs to help everyone get into the mood and spirit of the spring season,” said Director Dr. Brandon Hendrix. “It will be an evening of great music to help welcome springtime in Wilburton.”
The concert band will perform “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Spinning Wheel” and “All the Small Things” among others. The concert will also include choir performances of “Maybe I’m Amazed,” “Cry Me a River,” “Flashlight” and “Skyfall.”
The Eastern Expressions will perform popular songs such as “Meant to Live,” “When I Was Your Man,” “Washed by the Water,” “Colder Weather” and “The Middle.”
Dr. Hendrix will direct the performance, while Carissa Hendrix will serve as the accompanist. The concert is free and open to the public.
Students performing in this year’s show include Lacy Dunlap and Chance Reeves of Wilburton; Erik Rauniker and Christopher Henley of McAlester; Kyle Shelton, Kayla Carr and Julianne De Pré of Checotah; Joshua Sexton and Zana Johnson of Kinta; Shirlene Green of Hartshorne; Christopher Ainsworth of Gowen; Rebecca Needham of Clayton; Nicholos Martindale of Howe; Caitlin Tubby of Atoka; Victoria Cole of Kiowa; Hunter Lasater of Wagoner; Trevor McBane of Savanna; Charline Morrison of Heavener; and Igor Leal of Padrao, Brazil.
