Eastern baseball ranked No. 30 in pre-season poll

WILBURTON, OK (Jan. 30, 2014) – The Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball team will enter the 2014 season ranked No. 30 in the nation, according to the Perfect Game Pre-Season Poll. It’s the seventh year in a row that the Mountaineers have started the season as a Top 50 team.

“We have a talented group of guys this year and are excited to be ranked in the pre-season. It’s a good thing any time your program is recognized on a national level,” said Head Coach Craig Price.

The 2014 schedule consists of 28 games against teams included in pre-season rankings. The Mountaineers open the season Jan. 31 with a doubleheader against Pratt Community College. The team will travel to Houston, Tex. Feb. 6-8 for the San Jac Tournament of Champions before returning home to take on Coffeyville Community College on Feb. 15 at noon.
