Area students compete in 2018 MATHCOUNTS competition at Eastern

WILBURTON, OK (Feb. 26, 2018) – Middle school students representing three area schools recently competed in the 2018 Eastern Region MATHCOUNTS competition at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.

The MATHCOUNTS competition is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievements through a series of “bee” style contests. After working throughout the school year, students enrolled in sixth, seventh and eighth grade compete at four levels including school, region, state and nationals. The top two teams, All-Star Squad and their coach will advance to the state competition March 3. The location of the state competition has yet to be determined.
